RM. 29

The Band of Outsiders Spring 2014 Presentation was yesterday.  I finally got to watch the whole thing today after work.  The entire presentation was live streamed on the website from the second floor of The Chateau Marmont Hotel.  I pulled the rules of The Room from the website to show how the "show" ran.  You can watch Rm #29 at www.bandofoutsiders.com/#

Cat Scratch Fever

Bird was the word, now it's cats!  They're giving man's best friend a run for their money!

Have you heard of Cat Beards?

Vice's Last Words

I never thought I'd see the day when Vice Magazine has taken something too far.  Thanks to their latest fashion editorial Last Words, they finally did it.  Created for the publications 2013 Fiction Issue, the spread shows models re-enacting the suicides of women writers.  Since the spread has gone public, there has been a ton of backlash for the magazine known for taking it too far... for well..taking it too far.  Words like tasteless, sick, disrespectful,  and other scathing remarks dominate the web in reference to the "art". As of 24 hours ago the images have been removed from the publications site and an apology in its place.

I'm torn, in a way I can see the backlash reasoning, but at the same time...I'm intrigued by the images.

Growlers Anyone?

The first time I saw a growler was at my best friend's house.  I fell in love with it and had to have one (which I'm still waiting on Cienna!)  It's from a store called in.gredients.  From there I learned of the growler craze that was sweeping the hipster nation.  The ability to bring home your favorite bevy from supplied from your favorite bar, genius!  Being a Pabst girl I wasn't interested in the growlers contents, but more for the growlers aesthetic.

Recently my boyfriend and I moved to Minneapolis, a city of microbreweries and growler sympathizers!  You can read all about the movement here: http://mnbeeractivists.com/legislativeevents/save-the-growler

The perfect city to support my new project of decorating the kitchen with these dark beauties.

(I love the pairing of the growler and antiques)

(The one that started it all)

(All in a row)

(A bit extreme, but I'm sure it works somewhere.)

(A local brewery in these parts, and my favorite growler thus far!)

Hopefully I can think of a clever way to decorate the kitchen, if so, I'll post them!
